Cantina Zanetta

On the calcareous slopes of Valcamonica, in the shadow of Monte Concarena, Cantina Zanetta works within the `Valcamonica IGT` denomination in a decidedly alpine context. The strong temperature excursions and mineral-rich soils impart their character to the local grape varieties—`Riesling Renano`, `Incrocio Manzoni`, and `Müller Thurgau`—orienting them towards tension and freshness rather than softness. The scale is that of small-batch, bottled, non-industrialized production: a choice that allows for close monitoring of every phase, from harvest to fermentation to aging, without the rush of large volumes. This measured approach yields whites, reds, and passito wines, each conceived as a precise interpretation of Cerveno's terroir. It is mountain work, where altitude and climate dictate the pace, and the winery merely accommodates them, transforming the harshness of the place into wines of clear and recognizable character.
