CantinAmena
Lanuvio · Province of Roma · Lazio
At the gates of the Castelli Romani, a few kilometers southeast of the capital, CantinAmena was founded in 2004 from a family promise: Valeriano and Maria Rosa Mingotti brought the ancient Vigna Amena back to life in Lanuvio, within the boundaries of the Roma DOC denomination. It is here, on the area's volcanic soils, that the winery chose to establish its roots. The organically farmed rows host Montepulciano, Cesanese, and Sangiovese, from which white and amiable wines are born, translating the mineral character of the Lazio terroir. Patience governs every harvest and every fermentation, becoming the hallmark of a production that prefers waiting over immediate yield. The winery's sole denomination thus encompasses a recent but declared history, made of recovery and precise choices. Those who wish to grasp its essence can visit the estate: a tour of Vigna Amena allows for a direct tasting of the connection between the local grape varieties and the volcanic soil that nourishes them.
