Cantine Arioldi
Castagneto Carducci · Province of Livorno · Toscana
Established in 2019 along the Via Bolgherese, in Castagneto Carducci, Cantine Arioldi settled on a vineyard acquired in one of Tuscany's most observed viticultural strips. The two denominations it oversees, Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, are based on the grape varieties that have made this stretch of coast famous: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot govern the reds, while Vermentino and Sauvignon mark the experimental ground dedicated to the whites. Alongside the area's traditional setup, the winery has built its own identity around Metodo Classico sparkling wine. All stages remain in-house, from tirage to disgorgement, and long aging on the lees serves to seek complexity and finesse in the bottle. This choice shifts the emphasis from solely red power to a more articulated interpretation of the Bolgheri territory, where direct control of the winemaking process becomes the way a young enterprise measures itself against a name of considerable weight. The brevity of its history does not diminish the project's ambition but defines its method.
