The story of Cantine De Falco began in 1944 when Gabriele De Falco left Naples for Novoli, deep in Salento. The family business spanned three generations—Angelo, Pasquale, and Salvatore oversaw production for decades of national distribution—before a young Gabriele's return to the vineyard refocused efforts on indigenous grape varieties. Today, twenty hectares concentrate work on Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Susumaniello within the Salice Salentino DOC, the company's sole denomination but sufficient to define its character. The common thread is careful winemaking, built on eight decades of accumulated experience and an idea of Salento faithful to its red wines. The single appellation doesn't restrict the scope; rather, it sharpens the focus: everything converges on that territory and those grape varieties. Those passing through Novoli can stop at the winery to see firsthand how this family continuity, from 1944 to today, ultimately translates into the glass.
