Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG

The story of Cantine Due Palme begins in 1989, when Angelo Maci, a traffic warden, inherited his grandfather Ettamiano's small winery and decided to rethink Apulian viticulture. These were the years when local farmers sold bulk grapes to producers in the North; Maci, instead, chose the cooperative path, betting on the idea that uniting individual expertise and retaining value locally could elevate the quality of the entire territory. From that gamble, today comes Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG, the winery's sole denomination, sourced from the area encompassing nineteen municipalities. It is a wine of extreme concentration: the structured and fragrant grapes of Salento lead to a natural sweetness and a minimum alcohol content of 16%, among the highest thresholds in the Italian landscape. Every bottle bears the mark of that initial choice—territory before market, cooperation before immediate yield—and translates a long-neglected local pride into a recognition that has transcended regional borders.
