Cantine Lenotti Srl
Bardolino · Province of Verona · Veneto
The history of Cantine Lenotti has a precise starting date: 1906, when the family name appeared in the Oenological Map of the province of Verona during the Milan Expo. From Bardolino, the winery has built its identity around the great *appassimento* reds of Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto DOCG, made from Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes sourced from family vineyards. Over the decades, production has expanded without loosening quality control: they vinify their own grapes and grapes purchased within the nineteen protected communes, maintaining a strong connection to the area of origin. Amarone and Recioto represent two facets of the same gesture—*appassimento*—expressed either as a structured dry wine or as a sweet meditation wine. Today, the winery opens its doors to visitors: a stop in Bardolino to taste these two wines side-by-side is the most direct way to understand what distinguishes Veronese *appassimento*.
