Cantine Lizzano

Founded in 1959 by Dr. Luigi Ruggieri, Cantine Lizzano was born from the idea of uniting the winemakers of the Primitivo di Manduria area around a single, short supply chain. Here, the red soil rests on a limestone base, and the vines sink their roots into the Mediterranean sun that defines the character of Salento. The revival of ancestral agricultural practices, fused with modern winemaking, remains the thread that holds together six decades of collective work. The winery focuses on a single denomination, Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG: a red wine that leverages the grape's natural sugar richness to reach 16% alcohol, without artificial intervention.
