CANTINE SOLE DI PIETREFITTE

In Torrecuso, on the volcanic soils of the Benevento side, Cantine Sole di Pietrefitte focuses its work on a single denomination: Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, which encompasses 13 municipalities around the massif. The grapes come from selected hillside vineyards, and the aging — a minimum of 24 months — builds the structure and intensity that make this red grape variety recognizable. With a minimum alcohol content of 12%, each bottle reflects the Sannio terroir and the winery's choice to work with its own grapes, without delegating the decisive phase of viticulture. It is the Benevento winds and altitude that make the difference, transforming Aglianico into a precise expression of the oenological South rather than a generic wine. The winery is open to visitors: a stop in Torrecuso allows you to personally verify how altitude and air currents settle in the glass, following the journey of a single, demanding denomination from vineyard to bottle.
