Cantine Soloperto

🏡 Tastings & visitsPrimitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG

Towards the Ionian Sea, where Manduria's roots delve into Magna Graecia, Cantine Soloperto's alberello-trained vines gently descend towards the coast. For three generations, the winery has dedicated itself to Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG, a style that allows the grapes to concentrate sugars to nearly sixteen degrees, condensing the essence of the denomination's nineteen municipalities into sweetness. It's a wine that allows no shortcuts: it requires manual selection, unchanged cultivation practices, and the patience to await the perfect ripeness. The cups and amphorae of the Taranto Archaeological Museum remind us how ancient the bond between this land and the vine is, and Soloperto extends it without rhetoric, as daily work rather than a celebration. The winery welcomes visitors for tastings: stopping here means tasting the Dolce Naturale in the landscape that creates it, amidst low alberello vines and the light of the Ionian coast, in a direct encounter between the wine and the Apulian land that expresses it.
