Based in Palmi, on the Reggio Calabria coast, Cantine Zagari works with two Sicilian denominations — Sicilia DOC wine and Sicilia IGP extra virgin olive oil — within a protected area that extends over three hundred and ninety-one municipalities. The bridge between the Calabrian company and the island of its protected origins defines a production profile that moves along two parallel supply chains, that of wine and that of oil. On the oenological side, the company produces both red cuvée and white wines, with particular attention to aromatic profiles: the white proposals, including versions with a slight effervescence, highlight the versatility of the Sicilian grape varieties permitted by the regulations. Freshness and balance remain the declared criteria in every bottle, the result of viticultural knowledge passed down within the family. Alongside the wine, Sicilia IGP oil completes a portfolio that brings together two expressions of the same land, each with its own production rules and organoleptic characteristics, reassembled from a distance by those who have chosen them as their signature.
