CAPOLINO PERLINGIERI
Castelvenere · Province of Benevento · Campania
In Castelvenere, in the Sannio Beneventano area, Capolino Perlingieri reconnected with a family tradition in 2003, returning to the vineyard after a career in banking. The twelve hectares cultivated organically speak of a clear choice: replanting exhausted parcels, building a well-equipped cellar, and vinifying only their own grapes, to control the entire process from vine to bottle without delegation. At the heart of the project is Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, a grape variety with a dark, tannic character that ripens here on volcanic soils and rests for at least twenty-four months before reaching the glass. Alongside the red version, the range expands to rosés and other native Campanian varieties that offer different nuances of the same territory, tempering the intensity of the main grape with more immediate expressions. It is a personal interpretation rather than a catalog: each label measures the distance traveled by a recovered legacy and the desire to give Aglianico a consistent voice, faithful to the character of Taburno.
