Caprili

Caprili spans fifty-eight hectares on the southwestern slope of Montalcino, where the Orcia and Ombrone rivers shape the terrain and terroir. Twenty-five hectares are dedicated to vineyards, primarily Sangiovese Grosso destined for Brunello di Montalcino, with Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Vermentino completing the plantings. The management is entrusted to three siblings—Manuele, Paolo, and Paola—who continue a path linked to the partnership with Villa Santa Restituta. Caprili's Brunello respects the minimum forty-eight months of aging imposed by the production regulations, a long period during which the Sangiovese from this hill defines itself. The resulting wine showcases two elements: the mineral precision suggested by its southwestern position and the typical concentration of the local grape variety. The single denomination is enough to engage the entire estate, as Brunello tolerates neither approximations nor short timelines. Caprili interprets it by remaining faithful to its quadrant of Montalcino, marked by the two rivers, where slope and exposure are as crucial as the hand in the cellar.
