In San Marzano Oliveto, in the Asti area, Carussin interprets vineyard work as a collaboration with the land rather than its exploitation. Bruna and Luigi cultivate Ruchè, Arneis, Nebbiolo, and Barbera distributed across three DOCG denominations — Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Terre Alfieri, and Barbera d'Asti — considering soil, air, and water as effective partners in winemaking, not just resources to be used. This method is based on an intimate knowledge of the territory, according to a principle the company holds as a conviction: whoever understands what nourishes the vine also understands what sustains those who work it. The result is wines that bring together the registers of Monferrato, from the spicy red of Ruchè to the white of Arneis, from Barbera to the expressions of Terre Alfieri, each marked by that reciprocal exchange between plant and winemaker. The cellar is open to visitors: those passing through San Marzano Oliveto can stop to taste these wines directly, verifying in the glass what it means, in practice, to treat the land as an interlocutor and not as a resource to be consumed.
