Casa di Monte

In Montespertoli, amidst the Florentine hills, Casa di Monte traces its origins back to the late 19th century, when Angelo Oreste Simoncini began agricultural activity on the hill. Since then, the estate has linked its name to Chianti Classico DOCG, produced from Sangiovese and suitable Tuscan grape varieties, resulting in reds that convey the mineral character of these uplands. Family continuity here is measured in over a century of work on the same hill, a long period that Chianti Classico rewards because it demands intimate knowledge of the soil and its variations. The tasting tower adds a panoramic dimension to all of this: from above, the gaze sweeps 360 degrees across the landscape, and the wine ceases to be merely a taste, becoming a reading of the territory. The winery welcomes visitors: climbing the tower and tasting Chianti Classico where it is born is the most direct way to understand how, in these Florentine hills, terroir becomes a concrete experience, measurable with the eyes even before the palate.
