Casa Girelli

Although based in Trento, Casa Girelli looks to the Veronese area and the two denominations that define one of its most recognizable white wine heritages: Recioto di Soave and Soave Superiore, both DOCG. Their work revolves around Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, the foundational grape varieties of this area, interpreted in two contrasting ways. On one hand, Soave Superiore, a still white wine reaching at least 12% alcohol, seeking definition and balance; on the other, Recioto, a passito version made from dried grapes, where the sugar concentration opens up to a sweet and expansive register. These two denominations, stemming from the same varietal base, yield vastly different results, demonstrating how much broader Soave can be than the everyday white wine it is often identified with. The winery welcomes visits and tastings: book an appointment to sample the still and passito wines in sequence and grasp, through direct comparison, the full spectrum of these two origins.
