Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG

In Teolo, on the volcanic hills of the Colli Euganei behind Padua, Casa Prospero works with a single white grape variety, Moscato giallo, capturing its aromatic intensity in all forms permitted by the denomination. The Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG here takes three paths—still, sparkling (spumante), and passito—each with a different degree of concentration and sweetness, all stemming from the same aromatic essence. Volcanic soils and hilly altitudes are the two levers that shape its style: delicate yet not fragile, structured without heaviness, with a minimum alcohol content of 10.5% as set by the regulations. Among the Euganean Hills, microclimates vary from slope to slope, governing the ripening pace, and this variability gives rise to the wine's character. Guidi Orietta's approach is one of narrow specialization, choosing to delve deeply into a single denomination rather than broadening the range.
