Casa Vitivinicola Ca’ Du Ciuvin Di Cerutti Sergio

Castiglione Tinella · Province of Cuneo · Piemonte

Asti DOCG

In Castiglione Tinella, amidst the hills of the Cuneo area, Casa Vitivinicola Ca' Du Ciuvin operates within the Asti DOCG denomination, which extends over fifty-one Piedmontese municipalities. The protagonist is Moscato bianco, flanked by the aromatic white grape varieties permitted in the area, interpreted in multiple forms: spumante metodo classico, spumante charmat, and still white wines, each with a minimum aging of one month and the 11.5% alcohol content required by the disciplinary code. The winery's choice is specialization: to focus on the delicate expression of Moscato instead of dispersing efforts among different grape varieties. This approach prioritizes aromatic finesse and fruit readability, where the sparkling method changes the register without changing the reference grape. In this way, the producer links its identity to the sparkling tradition of the territory, delivering a recognizable and consistent aromatic profile through different versions, all traced back to the same varietal starting point.
