Casale Della Ioria

In the DOCG Cesanese del Piglio — five municipalities in the Frusinate hills — Casale Della Ioria produces one of Lazio's most structured red wines. The volcanic soils leave their mark on the grape variety, expressed in the two variants of Cesanese di Affile and Cesanese comune: from these come wines that alternate mineral precision and dark fruit, with at least four months of aging to define their profile.
