Casalini Andrea

Conegliano Valdobbiadene - Prosecco DOCG

Casalini Andrea works within a single perimeter, yet one of the most demanding in the northeast: the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, the denomination where fifteen municipalities share volcanic soils and microclimates that change from hill to hill. The base is Glera, flanked by traditional local grape varieties—Verdiso, Bianchetta trevigiana, Perera, and Glera lunga—which add detail and identity to a wine that could otherwise be easily flattened. From these grapes, different expressions of the same landscape emerge: still, frizzante, and spumante versions, each starting from 10.5% alcohol. Beneath the variety of bubbles, however, lies precise winemaking, necessitated by limestone and slate soils and slopes that make every operation slower and more manual. Focusing on a single denomination here is not a limitation but a choice of depth: it means thoroughly understanding a layered terroir instead of chasing many, and reflecting its nuances in a range of styles that originate from a single guiding grape variety.
