From Treiso, Cascina Alberta interprets the terroir of the Langhe, claiming the steepest slopes for Nebbiolo. Here, two long-aged red wines are born, Barolo and Barbaresco, where time in the cellar serves to soften the grape's structure and reveal its texture. The choice is one of measure rather than power: each vintage depends on the harvest date and the selection of the individual site, which determine whether the wine reaches the alcohol levels and complexity imposed by the denomination. Alongside Nebbiolo, the winery builds its portfolio on Dolcetto, cultivated in two distinct DOCG expressions. Dogliani offers a focused minerality, while Diano d'Alba responds with a more fruity concentration: two interpretations of the same grape, separated by soil and exposure. Above all, the cold continental climate of the Cuneo hills weighs heavily, extending ripening times and demanding patience.
