CASCINA BOSCHETTO SSA

In Camerana, at the southern tip of the Langhe, Giovanni and Marco—two engineers turned vignerons—have revitalized Cascina Boschetto, a property marked by old agricultural buildings and a centuries-old chapel. Across eleven south-facing hectares with gentle slopes, their work proceeds on two parallel fronts: converting meadows and uncultivated land into vineyards, and restoring the original structures without erasing their historical marks. Their ambition, however, extends beyond the estate's perimeter: to relaunch the entire Alta Langa through quality viticulture, by adhering to three demanding Piedmontese regulations. Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG brings an aromatic and fragrant profile, Barbera d'Asti DOCG offers an acidic backbone and drinkability, and Terre Alfieri DOCG presents a finer, more vibrant character. These three denominations impose rigor and necessitate a continuous dialogue between grape variety and soil. Those who venture up here will find a vibrant work-in-progress between the chapel and new vineyards: the cellar welcomes visitors, offering the best way to truly appreciate this restoration.
