Cascina Ciapat

Cascina Ciapat is located in Montaldo Roero, where the Bertello family has cultivated the same vineyards since 1846. The winery occupies an ancient cascina surrounded by historic plots, beneath the jagged profile of the Rocche del Roero. It is a sculpted landscape, with a strong identity, that imprints its mark on the wine. Here, Nebbiolo becomes Roero rosso, the winery's sole denomination, aged for at least twenty months and shaped by generations of manual labor as well as clay and limestone soils. The long resting period speaks of a measured choice, where family continuity is as important as technique. Open for visits, Cascina Ciapat allows guests to enter the cellar between seasonal cycles and see firsthand how these hills translate into wine: it's worth stopping, glass in hand, to follow the Nebbiolo from the vine to the barrel.
