Cascina Giovinale Di Ciocca
In Nizza Monferrato, within a 20th-century cascina, Cascina Giovinale continues the project initiated in the 1980s by Bruno Ciocca. Seven hectares on the San Nicolao hill are enough to define a precise identity: here, only Asti DOCG is produced, the winery's sole denomination, obtained from Moscato bianco and complementary white-berried grape varieties. The result is aromatic white and sparkling wines that translate the character of a landscape, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, into the bottle. The choice to work only their own vineyards focuses attention on a single register, cultivated with family continuity rather than ambitions of expansion: refined wines, where the aroma of Moscato remains the signature and the place dictates the measure. The winery is open for visits and tastings: it's worth a stop to taste Asti directly where it originates, on the Monferrato hills, and understand how a single denomination, thoroughly explored, can tell the story of an entire territory.
