CASCINA ROCCA Az. Agr. di Silvana Molino

In La Morra, nestled between the Langhe and Roero, Silvana Molino oversees four protected denominations from a single cascina. The focus splits by grape variety: Nebbiolo underpins Barolo and Barbaresco—the former aged for thirty-eight months as per regulations—while Dolcetto gives body to Dogliani and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba. Four Piedmontese DOCG wines, two souls, united by the same hand. Each label pursues a terroir-driven expression through micro-geographies of varying scales, ranging from the twenty-one municipalities of Dogliani to areas confined to a single municipality like Diano d'Alba. This production uses denomination as a lens to highlight even minimal differences in soil and exposure. The winery is open for tastings and invites direct engagement with these layered and structured reds: a stop at Cascina Rocca allows visitors to explore the entire spectrum of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto in a single visit, from grand aging reds to more immediate, everyday glasses.
