CASCINA SALERIO di Bianco Giuliana Maria

Costigliole d'Asti · Province of Asti · Piemonte

Barbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

In Costigliole d'Asti, Cascina Salerio di Bianco Giuliana Maria presents three DOCG wines that paint a multifaceted portrait of Monferrato. The Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato originates from the rare and aromatic grape variety of the same name; Terre Alfieri brings together Arneis and Nebbiolo in versions ranging from white to red; and Barbera d'Asti, aged for at least four months, draws from the broader area of the denomination, its 165 municipalities. Three wines for three approaches to the Piedmontese terroir, each linked to a grape variety and a set of regulations that define its identity and minimum alcohol content. The cascina does not pursue a single profile: it allows Ruchè to play the aromatic card, Terre Alfieri to alternate registers, and Barbera to declare its acidity as a mark of origin. It's an interpretation of the Asti region conducted by variety, where respect for varietal identity matters more than range consistency. The result is a portfolio where each label asserts its own zone and grape variety, without yielding to a common denominator.
