Barbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

Across twenty-three municipalities in Piedmont, Cascina 'Tavijn oversees three DOCG denominations, working with both indigenous and noble grape varieties. Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato is the aromatic heart of the range: a local grape brought to at least 12.5% alcohol, complemented by portions of Barbera and Brachetto. Arranged around this are Terre Alfieri, which alternates white Arneis and red Nebbiolo wines, and Barbera d'Asti, aged for no less than four months. Three contiguous but distinct appellations, each with its own regulations and reference grape, offer a measure of work that does not pursue a single style but rather the precision required by rigorously defined zones. It is a Piedmont interpreted by variety rather than power, where the fragrant Ruchè, the austere Nebbiolo, and the ready Barbera coexist in the same cellar, held together by the attention to terroir that each denomination demands. The result is a plural portrait of Monferrato, measured by differences rather than uniformity.
