Barbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

In Priocca, a small municipality in the Roero, Cascina Val del Prete has been working since 1977 on steep slopes where rows of vines alternate with hazelnut groves and patches of woodland. This mosaic is more than just a landscape: it supports biodiversity and frames a body of work that spans four denominations from the Langhe and neighboring territories, united by just two grape varieties. Dolcetto yields the most immediate and everyday wines, in the forms of Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani; Nebbiolo, on the other hand, signs the two long-aging expressions, Barbaresco and Barolo. The difference between them is measured in time: 26 months of aging for Barbaresco, 38 for Barolo, with the resulting tannic structure. Four labels, four zones often spanning multiple municipalities, each reflecting the specific character of its soil rather than a uniform house style. This is a catalog that prioritizes the precision of origin over stylistic consistency.
