CASCINA VALEGGIA di Bollito Alan
Moncalvo · Province of Asti · Piemonte
On the hills of Moncalvo, Cascina Valeggia di Bollito Alan spans three Monferrato DOCG denominations, from the circumscribed Terre Alfieri to the broader Barbera d'Asti area, and up to Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato. From these come Ruchè, Arneis, Nebbiolo, and Barbera, vinified with traditional methods, wines that retrace the journey from vineyard to bottle, including bulk sales, as was once customary. The activity doesn't stop at wine. From the farm's stables come raw milk goat cheeses, while preserves and condiments in glass jars, along with Piedmontese beef, complete a supply chain held together under the same roof. It's a working property, spontaneous and well-cared-for, where the table reflects the same commitment to quality and direct relationship between producer and buyer as the cellar. Visitors are welcome to tour and taste: the hospitality here is a natural extension of the work in the fields and stables.
