Casearia Brazzale SpA

Zanè · Province of Vicenza · Veneto

Grana Padano DOP

In Zanè, near Thiene, Casearia Brazzale connects eight generations of cheesemakers to the Asiago Prealps and the Venetian plain. Since 1492, this corner of Veneto has been an Italian cheesemaking capital, and here the company opened its first industrial dairy in 1900, later becoming one of the founding members of the Consorzio Grana Padano in the 1950s. Today, the house produces Grana Padano, its sole dedicated denomination, within a continuity that is itself a testament: it is the oldest Italian dairy company still in uninterrupted activity. This longevity is not a mere flourish, but the thread that binds together the agricultural roots and industrial culture of the family, from the milk in the barns to the aging of the cheeses. In every wheel of cheese, one can read a craft passed down without interruption, a measure of a territory that has made milk its common language.
