COLLE DEL SARACENO

Colle del Saraceno sits at 470 metres on the slopes around Montefalco, where the Botti family established their estate in the early 1900s. Through decades of steady expansion, they preserved Sagrantino winemaking traditions when the variety nearly vanished elsewhere. Today, the producer selects only a portion of each harvest for fermentation in the family casolare, maintaining consistent quality across both dry and passito expressions. Visitors discover how minimal intervention and time-honoured techniques shape wines aged to the full Sagrantino minimum.
