Gerarda Del Giorno produces extra virgin olive oil in Montepulciano, at the heart of Tuscany's Terre di Siena DOP zone. The protected designation spans 32 municipalities across the province of Siena, defining a strict standard: acidity below 0.5%, oleic acid exceeding 72%, and polyphenol content of at least 100 ppm. These metrics ensure each bottle meets the region's rigorous chemical and sensory benchmarks. Working within this framework of regulated terroir, Del Giorno's oils capture the mineral character and herbaceous notes distinctive to Montepulciano's clay and limestone soils.
