Manuele Delpero works the south-facing slopes of Santo Stefano Roero, commanding the Piedmont's two greatest Nebbiolo territories. Barbaresco matures 26 months in his cellars before release; Barolo, the region's most demanding wine, demands 38 months of aging before it meets his standards. These are not quick wines. Alongside stand Dolcetto—both the single-zone Diano d'Alba and the broader Dogliani—capturing the darker, earthier character of the Roero's Dolcetto expression.
