In the hills of La Morra, Giuseppe Ellena tends 5 hectares of vines across 15 hectares of mixed farmland, combining short prunings and multiple thinning passes to keep yields deliberately low. His winery produces four DOCG wines: Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani showcase the grape's ripe character at 12% alcohol; Barbaresco (26 months minimum aging) and Barolo (38 months minimum) draw complexity from Nebbiolo grown in Piedmont's most demanding zones. Each wine aims to reveal the authentic essence of its varietal and terroir.
