Fattoria di Vegi occupies a stone-built structure with roots in the 12th century, when it functioned as a watchtower overlooking Castellina in Chianti. The property's layered past—from noble hunting lodge to agricultural estate—informed its recent restoration by the Boomsma family. Today the winery produces Chianti Classico from Sangiovese and regional red varieties, balancing its architectural heritage with contemporary viticulture. Visitors discover wines shaped by Tuscan terroir alongside an intimate sense of place.
