At Fattoria Monsanto in Barberino Tavarnelle, Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, and Canaiolo Nero grow across 72 hectares at elevations between 280 and 320 metres. Four distinct vineyard blocks—Poggio, Scanni, Mulino, and Salcio—form a mosaic shaped by altitude and microclimates. Fabrizio and Laura Bianchi now guide the estate through its seventh decade, stewarding an intuition born sixty years ago. The surrounding green belt operates as a functioning ecosystem, anchoring Toscano IGT whites, rosés, and reds that reach minimum 11% alcohol. Visitors and tasters are welcomed year-round into cellars where each bottle carries the weight of accumulated decisions.
