Filippon

Filippon works three of Friuli-Venezia Giulia's most demanding white appellations from its base in Nimis, in the Udine hills. The producer holds rights to Ramandolo's Verduzzo Friulano, a sweet wine of 14% minimum strength, and to the crisp whites of Rosazzo—Friulano, Sauvignon, and Pinot bianco or Chardonnay blends. Adding complexity, Filippon also crafts Colli Orientali Picolit, the rare, high-alcohol white passito from grapes that yield minimal must. Each denomination reflects distinct terroir within the same northeastern Italian region.
