FONTANASSA

Fontanassa traces its roots to a sixteenth-century estate in Rovereto di Gavi, at the heart of the historic Gavi DOCG zone. The property passed through several noble families before the Gemme family began producing Gavi in 1988, launching their first DOCG bottles under Marco and Roberto Gemme's direction. Today, under Filippo Gemme's stewardship since 2016, the winery cultivates 43 hectares of Cortese vines across Rovereto, producing four Gavi expressions alongside a classical-method sparkling wine. Visitors find a working landscape where vineyard labour and territorial heritage shape every vintage.
