Fontodi commands the Conca d'oro, a south-facing valley in Panzano where altitude, galestro soils, and thermal amplitude have shaped quality viticulture for centuries. The producer harvests Sangiovese and compatible red varieties by hand, selecting fruit for gravity-fed vinification in a tiered cantina—a design that respects the natural integrity of each harvest. Since 1968, the Manetti family has stewarded these Chianti Classico vineyards while maintaining their ancestral craft: terracotta production rooted in Chianti tradition.
