Il Cocco

Il Cocco's Brunello di Montalcino emerges from vines tended since 1972, when the estate first opened its doors to Montalcino's rolling hills. Certified organic since 2000, the producer treats its Sangiovese vineyards with minimal copper and sulfur, relying instead on natural fertilizers and time-honored peasant techniques. Between the rows, legumes and grains are sown to nourish the soil, embodying a philosophy where vineyard work and winemaking form a seamless whole. The resulting Brunello, aged 48 months minimum, carries the integrity of this approach.
