IL SENTIERO DEL RICCIO

On the limestone slopes of the Monti Alburni, within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, IL SENTIERO DEL RICCIO operates across seven hectares of organically certified land since 1992. Owner Gianpaolo Mancini runs a closed-loop farm that minimizes fossil fuel dependence, relying instead on organic matter, manure, and production waste recycling to sustain soil fertility. The estate produces Cilento DOP extra virgin olive oil with its distinctive green-to-yellow hue and fruity, peppery notes, alongside Cilento DOC, Castel San Lorenzo DOC, and Paestum IGT wines from native Campanian varieties. Beekeeping rounds out the diversified operation.
