Isole e Olena

Two fifteenth-century hamlets in the heart of Chianti Classico converge in Isole e Olena's identity. In the 1950s, when 130 residents worked the land under sharecropping, the estate was fragmented across two villages barely a kilometer apart. Today, the producer reunites that heritage, tending vineyards with deliberate craft—hand-tied canopies, terraced slopes, precise fermentation—while Sangiovese-based reds honour both the place and an artisanal lineage that predates modern winemaking.
