La Battistina commands thirty hectares of vineyard dedicated entirely to Cortese, the Cortese that defines Gavi DOCG in the Castel Boglione hills between two towns: Gavi and Novi Ligure. Acquired by Gruppo Araldica in 2002, the estate undertook systematic cellar and vineyard restoration to refocus on prestige Gavi production. Today the winery releases still bianco, frizzante, and spumante expressions—each reaching the 10.5% minimum alcohol that marks the zone's character—from a terroir refined by ridge-top position and limestone soil.
