Livio Maccagno operates within Roero DOCG, the 19-municipality Piedmont zone where Nebbiolo and Arneis define the region's character. His reds command the Roero rosso designation, built on Nebbiolo's dark fruit complexity; his whites and spumanti lean on Arneis, the indigenous pale-skinned variety that balances acidity with subtle almond notes.
