Macchion dei Lupi works within two prestigious Tuscan appellations, each with distinct terroir demands. In Suvereto, the producer crafts bold reds from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah—either alone or blended—capturing the coastal hills' mineral edge. The Val di Cornia Rosso program draws a tighter focus, emphasizing the classic trio of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot across six municipalities. Both ranges achieve minimum 12.5% alcohol, balancing power with structure. This dual commitment reflects a winemaker's deliberate choice to master two complementary expressions of southwestern Tuscany.
