Manfredi Barbera & Figli operates from Palermo, at the heart of Val di Mazara's olive-growing heritage. The family's roots run deep into nineteenth-century Sicilian sport and agriculture: founder Lorenzo Barbera Sr. earned royal recognition for his fencing victories, and the family later anchored themselves in the island's oil production through a historic partnership that yielded international acclaim at the 1900 Paris Exposition. Today, the producer crafts Val di Mazara DOP extra virgin olive oil, distinguished by its golden-yellow hue and green undertones, with fruity aromatics and acidity held to 0.5%.
