Mocali

Mocali, situated southwest of Montalcino at 350 metres elevation, occupies 43 hectares threaded through Mediterranean woodland where cork oaks and strawberry trees dominate. Twelve hectares of specialised vineyard draw mineral richness from chalky soil and the mineral-laden stone locally called Balsano. The property's Vigna delle Raunate, shaded by a tall pine grove, preserves remnants of centuries-old lime kilns, their stone legacy now feeding the vines. Visitors traverse two kilometres of earth road through oak and pine before arriving at panoramic views sweeping from Monte Amiata to the Maremma.
