Montecalvi

Montecalvi sits high above Greve in Chianti, where winemaking began in the 1400s. This small artisanal estate produces Chianti Classico through minimal intervention—allowing Sangiovese and compatible red varieties to express themselves naturally. The philosophy is spare: little is added, nothing removed from either wine or the cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil harvested daily from their hillside. Visitors taste from a vantage overlooking the valley's entrance, where fruit and geology converge.
