Montemartini Clerici operates within Oltrepò Pavese, a 41-municipality region in Lombardy where continental climate and limestone soils create ideal conditions for méthode classique production. The estate focuses on Pinot noir, Chardonnay, and white Pinot varieties, crafting both traditional spumante and spumante rosé. Each bottling undergoes a minimum 15 months of aging on the lees, a discipline that builds the elegant complexity and persistent bubbles characteristic of the denomination's highest expressions at 11.5% alcohol.
