Montoro e Selvole

Montoro e Selvole occupies a low hillside five kilometres from Greve in Chianti, where Sangiovese vines mature at 250 metres above sea level. The estate preserves Emilio's original vineyard genetics through a meticulous programme: new rootstocks are grafted, vine by vine, with buds from heritage stocks now 60–70 years old. This living archive ensures each vintage carries forward the family's inherited selection criteria. The result: Chianti Classico reds of genetic continuity and territorial honesty, bound to the soil that shaped their mother plants.
