Mulini di Segalari

Mulini di Segalari emerges from Castagneto Carducci's Bolgheri terroir as a deliberate restoration of a forgotten landscape. Since 2002, the estate has revived 18th-century mill structures and planted 4.1 hectares of vineyard across a north-south slope at 90–120 metres elevation. The operation follows natural rhythms, letting topography dictate vine orientation for optimal sun exposure. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot anchor the reds; white varieties include Vermentino and Manzoni Bianco. The producer crafts both Bolgheri DOC and the structured Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, where extended aging—24 months minimum—permits the wine to express the land's character with clarity and force.
